WILKES-BARRE — City police arrested a mother and her son on allegations they had stolen items from The Home Depot on Wilkes-Barre Township Boulevard on Tuesday.

Police allege Melissa Floystad, 45, of Parkview Circle, Wilkes-Barre, and Thomas Stegman Jr., 19, same address, concealed items and attempted to leave the store without paying for the merchandise just before 1:30 p.m.

Floystad and Stegman were arraigned on charges of retail theft and criminal conspiracy to commit retail theft. They were each released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
