WILKES-BARRE — A woman facing charges she stabbed Brandon Eubanks in the chest has filed a protection from abuse application against him in Luzerne County Court on Wednesday.

Tameeka Buggs, 28, of Wilkes-Barre, alleges Eubanks, 23, of Paterson, New Jersey, attacked her by punching her in the face and broke her phone on July 2, according to the PFA application.

Buggs filed the application that also named their 1-year-old daughter to be protected under the order.

She claims there has been abuse between them in the past but she was scared to do anything because he has threatened to kill her, the PFA says.

She further alleged Eubanks has slapped, spat, punched, kicked and choked her in previous incidents.

No domestic assault charges have been filed against Eubanks, according to online court records.

A hearing to determine if the PFA is extended is scheduled on July 16.

Buggs is facing charges of simple assault and tampering with evidence in Luzerne County Court when she allegedly stabbed Eubanks in the chest during a domestic disturbance inside her Sherman Hills apartment on Feb. 3.

Court records say Buggs was sentenced by county Judge David Lupas in April to 12 months probation on a charge of recklessly endangering another person at which police investigated a juvenile holding a knife outside her then-residence on Hazle Avenue on Nov. 16. The juvenile told police he was holding the knife to protect himself from Buggs, who was involved in a fight with Eubanks, according to the criminal complaint.

In an unrelated matter, Eubanks survived multiple gunshot wounds, including one round to his neck, in a second floor hallway of the Sherman Hills high rise building on March 23.

Police have charged Keith Brian Hayes, 24, known as “Keefy Blood” in the shooting. Hayes is facing criminal attempt to commit homicide, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and illegal possession of a firearm in county court.
