HANOVER TWP. — A Pittston man was charged with a weapons violation after he allegedly tried to unlawfully purchase a firearm.
Dustin Veazie, 27, was arraigned Tuesday before District Judge Joseph Halesey on a charge of sale and transfer of firearms and a misdemeanor charge of unsworn falsification to authorities. He was released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
Police allege Veazie tried to purchase a firearm from Nimrod Haven Firearms store on the Sans Souci Highway in February when state law prohibited him from obtaining a firearm.
