ACT Reading, Math, English, Essay, Science courses will be held Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 to 7:30 p.m., August 17 through September 23. The $250 course fee includes books and materials.

The courses emphasize the following:

• Familiarity with the current format of the SAT/ACT

• Recommended order for taking the test

• Ways to increase reading comprehension and understanding of paired passages

• Essay strategies and tips

• Problem-solving methods to develop math skills

Instructors are approved by Penn State University to teach the SAT and ACT preparation course, and are fully qualified to effectively assist students in improving their math and verbal skills and test-taking strategies. Students in the course will also be given homework assignments between classes, as well as sample SAT/ACT exams as practice tests.

Advance payment for registration is required no later than one week before to the first class, and space cannot be held without payment. Cancellations must be received at least three working days prior to the review, or the student will be responsible for the fee.
