WILKES-BARRE — A man used a tire iron to rob the Turkey Hill store on East Main Street early Monday morning, city police said.

Police said the suspect, described as a white man, entered the store just before 1 a.m. and demanded money while threatening a clerk with a tire iron.

The suspect ran out of the store with an undisclosed amount of cash in an unknown direction.

Police said the suspect had a black and gray hooded jacket or sweat shirt, dark sneakers or hiking shoes and concealed his lower face with a gray winter type scarf.
