WILKES-BARRE — A man from Alabama with a street name “New York” and wanted in New York State was one of four men arrested by city police and state police narcotic troopers in separate drug trafficking cases.

All four men were arraigned Thursday by District Judge Paul Roberts in Kingston.

Authorities arrested Clifford Jones, 44, of Orrville, Alabama, after he allegedly sold crack cocaine in the area of South Main and Academy streets at about 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Jones, known as “New York,” is wanted by the New York Department of Parole.

Court records in New York indicate Jones was released on parole in May 2012 while serving a six-year state prison sentence on criminal possession of a firearm in King’s County, New York.

Jones was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of communication facility. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $25,000 bail and on the warrant in New York.

Authorities arrested Gary Dozer, 44, of North Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre, after he allegedly sold heroin on East Northampton Street on Wednesday.

Dozer was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of communication facility. He was jailed at the county correctional facility for lack of $25,000 bail.

Authorities arrested Jaquan Henderson, 25, of East Northampton Street, Wilkes-Barre, after he allegedly sold heroin on Butler Street at about 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Henderson was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of communication facility. He was jailed at the county correctional facility for lack of $25,000 bail.

Ian D. Sanders, 25, known as “Reef,” of Philadelphia, was arrested after he allegedly sold crack cocaine from a vehicle in the area of Park Avenue and Lehigh Street at about 7:20 p.m. Wednesday.

Sanders was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of communication facility. He was jailed at the county correctional facility for lack of $25,000 bail.
