PLAINS TWP. — The Luzerne County Coroner’s Office on Friday identified the second man killed in a three-vehicle crash on North River Street Thursday as Jhonathan Ramos, 20, of Philadelphia.

Ramos was a passenger in a Jeep driven by Kenneth Cromer, 56, of Mountain Top, who crossed into on-coming traffic colliding with a dump truck, owned by Franchelli Enterprises, of Second Street, Plains Township, at about 7:30 a.m. Thursday, police said.

A BMW, driven by Martin Hozlock, traveling behind the Jeep, struck the front end of the dump truck. Hozlock was not injured, police said.

Cromer was pronounced dead at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Plains Township. Ramos died at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, according to the Luzerne County Coroner’s Office.

No autopsies are scheduled.

Police did not release the name of the driver of the dump truck, who was treated and released from Geisinger.

Police said Cromer was a person-of-interest in a hit-and-run crash in the same area on North River Street on Tuesday. No details were released about Tuesday’s incident.
