The average gas prices locally and nationwide dipped slightly overnight — in the last week, the national average dropped by more than a dime.
AAA Mid-Atlantic provided the following figures for today’s average gas prices:
• Wilkes-Barre area gas average at $2.43 today, down a penny overnight and down 6 cents in the last week. Diesel at $2.80 today, unchanged overnight.
• Pennsylvania gas average at $2.49 today, unchanged overnight and down 7 cents in the last week. Diesel at $2.83 today, unchanged overnight
• National gas average at $2.45 today, down a penny overnight and down 12 cents in the last week. Diesel at $2.56 today, unchanged overnight.
