WILKES-BARRE — Three juveniles reported that they were robbed at gunpoint Tuesday night on Public Square.

The victims — two girls and a boy — told police they were sitting on a bench at about 9:45 p.m. when four males approached and surrounded them.

One of the men pulled out a handgun and demanded their phones, according to the youth’s account. Each of the other males took a cellphone from each of the victims; the robbers all fled northbound on foot, police said.

The man with the gun was described as black with big lips and a dark complexion, in his late teens to early 20s, and wearing jeans and a blue hoodie with “Hollister” written on it.

The other suspects were described as black men in their late teens to early 20s and wearing dark clothing.
