HANOVER TWP. — A man from New Jersey wanted on a warrant charging him with skipping a court hearing in New Jersey Superior Court last month was captured by township police after investigating a violent domestic disturbance Monday night.

Police said Quincy Hill, 30, of Newark, was arrested when he was seen walking in the area of Marion Terrace Apartments on Mark Drive just before 8:30 p.m.

According to the criminal complaints:

Bakira Baker told police Hill became enraged during an argument when he allegedly grabbed her by the throat and raised a baseball bat threatening to break her face.

Baker claimed Hill damaged a flat screen television inside her apartment during the incident, the complaint says.

Police said an aluminum baseball bat was found at the scene.

A records check showed Hill was wanted for failing to appear for a court proceeding on a drug charge in New Jersey Superior Court on Sept. 25, according to the complaint.

Hill was arraigned Tuesday by District Judge Ronald Swank in Wright Township on four counts of simple assault, and one count each of harassment and criminal mischief. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $10,000 bail.
