WILKES-BARRE TWP. — A man that reportedly tried to sell CDs inside Walmart is being charged after an altercation that, at one point, involved an ice pick.

Police say that at 11:18 p.m. on Saturday, Daniel Madsen, 31, was attempting to sell CDs inside the store. When he was asked to leave, Madsen allegedly started a verbal argument with employees.

A witness reportedly tried to detain Madsen while police responded, but Madsen allegedly fled the parking lot and nearly struck the witness. The witness then followed Madsen to the Sheetz parking lot, where police say Madsen brandished what appeared to be an ice pick.

Madsen was then taken into custody, and will be charged with terroristic threats and disorderly conduct.
