WILKES-BARRE —Gina Kaiser, 26, of Dallas, is facing a charge of retail theft after police say she allegedly stole a gold chain from Boscov’s.

Police say Kaiser went into the store’s jewelry section at 5:10 p.m. on Tuesday, where she asked to see a 7-inch, 10-karat gold chain. Kaiser allegedly took the chain and ran from the store, but loss prevention officers located her and brought her back to the store.

Kaiser was charged with a misdemeanor charge of retail theft. Police also say that she has a prior conviction and guilty plea for retail theft.

The chain was valued at $500.
