WILKES-BARRE — Police say a woman was arrested during a traffic stop after it was determined there are active warrants for her arrest.

When a man came to get her vehicle, he was also arrested when police determined he, too, had warrants for his arrest.

Police say they stopped Jennifer Bell, 40, of Hanover Township for a traffic violation on High Street. Along with the warrants, police also discovered that Jessica Bell was in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

Jennifer Bell then called Damion Bell, who came to retrieve the vehicle from the traffic stop. Police then determined that he had a warrant for his arrest out of Luzerne County.

Jennifer and Damion Bell were then transported to Luzerne County Correctional Facility. Jennifer Bell was also arraigned on new charges from the traffic stop.
