HAZLETON — City police responded to North Locust Street and West Ninth Street at 8:40 p.m. Friday for a report of shots fired.

Upon arrival to the scene, officers found a 17-year-old male injured, police said. He was transported to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township, for treatment.

According to police, one vehicle and several residences were damaged during the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call police by dialing 9-1-1.
