WILKES-BARRE TWP. — Township police arrested a Philadelphia man after a tip about a drug sale at a mall.

The Wilkes Barre Township Special Investigations Unit received a tip at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday regarding drug activity at the Wyoming Valley Mall, police said.

Police observed Richard Myers, of Philadelphia, allegedly conduct a transaction in one of the department stores and was subsequently stopped by the SIU, police said.

Myers was found to be in alleged possession of 30 packets of heroin and $175 in cash, police said. He was arraigned before District Judge Alexandra Kokura Kravitz on felony charges of delivery of a controlled substance and taken to Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $15,000 bail.
