HAZLETON — Two woman are facing charges after allegedly fleeing from police.

Police were dispatched at 5:30 p.m. on Friday to the 600 block of North Locust Street for a report of three woman physically fighting. Upon arrival, police say that Jeny Zorrilla, 32, and Anaybelka Marcano, 30, attempted to flee in a vehicle.

Police said they located the vehicle and attempted to stop it, but allege that Zorrilla and Morcano continued to the intersection of 5th and Laurel streets where they fled the vehicle.

Both women were later taken into custody. Zorrilla, who police said was driving the vehicle, was charged with fleeing and eluding and several traffic violations. Marcano was cited for harassment stemming from the initial altercation.
