WILKES-BARRE TWP. — Khalil Cornelius Webb of Brooklyn, New York, was taken into custody Thursday when police say he attempted to use counterfeit credit cards at the Target Department store to purchase gift cards.

Members of the Special Investigations Unit followed the suspect and observed him at the Sheetz gas station/convenience store attempting to purchase more gift cards with counterfeit credit cards.

Webb was found to be in possession of nine counterfeit cards and was arraigned by District Judge Thomas Malloy, who set bail at $10,000. Webb was taken to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility due to lack of funds.
