HARVEYS LAKE — Harveys Lake police said late Saturday night that they had a suspect in a hit-and-run crash that injured a cyclist in custody.

Police said the suspect was expected to be arraigned by District Judge Joseph Spagnuolo later in the evening.

No additional information was available.

The victim of the hit-and-run crash that occurred Wednesday at Pole 69 Lakeside Drive was hospitalized, according to police.

According to police:

Kurt Manganella was riding his bicycle along what police described as a straight stretch of road with clear sight lines when he was struck by a vehicle.

Manganella, 52 and a Dallas resident, was riding in the proper direction, was wearing a helmet and used blinking rear lights. As of Friday night he was hospitalized, with broken ribs, lung contusions and scrapes and bruises.

Police said the vehicle involved in the crash was a silver Chevrolet Equinox LT.
