WILKES-BARRE — Ace Frehley was admitted to Wilkes-Barre General Hospital after his performance at the F.M. Kirby Center on Friday, according to his Facebook page.

Known as a founding member of the rock group KISS, Frehley was admitted to the hospital after extensive testing determined he was suffering from exhaustion and dehydration.

As a result of the admittance, Frehley had to cancel a sold-out show in Poughkeepsie, New York, that was scheduled for tonight.

“Once released from the hospital, Ace will be heading home to Southern California to recuperate,” the Facebook post indicated. “We wish him a speedy recovery.”

Ticket buyers for tonight’s show in Poughkeepsie can use their tickets for the rescheduled date in September or return them at the point of purchase for a full refund.
