WILKES-BARRE — City police said one person is in custody after attacking a probation officer this morning.

Officers said an unnamed individual, whose gender they didn’t specify, fled from law enforcement after a court hearing, striking a probation officer and fleeing in a white sedan.

Police pulled over the vehicle in an alley behind Wilkes-Barre Police Department Headquarters shortly after the incident occurred, and took the individual into custody. As of 12 p.m. officers were still collecting evidence from the vehicle one.
