NANTICOKE — Police have charged a city man with three counts of attempted rape.

According to a criminal complaint, Glynn A. Wildoner Jr., 36, of West Union Street, was charged after police were called to his house at 3:46 p.m. Thursday for a report a child had been raped. The complaint alleges that Wildoner’s act was not the first; the victim recalled two previous occasions — earlier in June 2016 and May 2016.

Wildoner also faces three counts each of sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 16 years of age, aggravated indecent assault without consent, endangering the welfare of children, and four counts each of unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of minors.

Wildoner denied the allegations when confronted by police, the complaint said.

The Times Leader does not identify victims of sexual assault.

Wildoner was arraigned in front of District Judge Joseph Zola and is being held in the Luzerne County Correctional Facility in lieu of $100,000 bail.
