The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is warning motorists traveling southbound Wednesday on Interstate 476 to expect slow-moving traffic and possible stoppages between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. near Exit 131 at the Clarks Summit Interchange.

The potential delays are due to 15-minute traffic paces during which turnpike maintenance and state police vehicles will restrict speeds to 20-25 mph, officials said.

The paces are needed for workers to safely install containment tarps along the Clarks Summit Bridge, which is being repainted. The work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions, officials said.
