WILKES-BARRE — A man robbed a Turkey Hill at gunpoint early this morning, according to police.

Police said that at 12:25 a.m., the clerk at the store on Carey Avenue reported that a man wearing a black mask, black sweater and gray pants entered the store and brandished a firearm.

The man tried to jump on the counter, according to police, and the clerk alleged the man started to open both of the store’s registers.

Police said the clerk opened one of the registers and gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police said the man was last seen running from the store.

No injuries were reported.
