WILKES-BARRE TWP. — Police say a man was arrested Monday when police learned he had a warrant for his arrest out of New York City.

Police said that at 3:30 p.m. Monday, police arrested Joan Vladimir Liberato Vilorio, 21, of New York City, after it was determined he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest from the New York City Police Department.

The police report did not give any other information on Vilorio’s warrant.

Vilorio was charged with arrest prior to requisition and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Joseph Carmody. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $25,000 bail.
