WILKES-BARRE – A Plains woman is facing several charges after allegedly shoplifting from Boscov’s Department Store and then resisting arrest Wednesday.

Police said that at approximately 5 p.m. Wednesday, Angela Milazzo, 31, stole from the South Main Street store and then began to strike loss prevention officers when they attempted to take her into custody.

Police said that upon arrival, officers deemed Milazzo highly intoxicated. Milazzo also allegedly fought with police officers while in custody.

Police said Palazzo was charged with retail theft, simple assault, resisting arrest and public drunkenness.
