WILKES-BARRE TWP. — Police are searching for a man accused of stealing an iPhone from Walmart.

Police said that at 4:08 p.m. on July 4, loss prevention for the store in Wilkes-Barre Township Marketplace originally reported that a gold iPhone 6+ demo phone was stolen from its display.

Police said a review of the surveillance video from the store showed a man removing the phone, putting it in his pants pocket and leaving the store.

Police described the man as 5 feet 7 inches with a thin build and brown hair.

Police are asking anyone with information on the man’s identity to contact Patrolwoman Lee Ann Reh at the Wilkes-Barre Township Police Department at [email protected] or by sending a private message to the department’s Facebook page.
