WILKES-BARRE — Police responded late Saturday night to the report of a group of more than 20 people fighting in the parking lot of the McDonald’s on East Northampton Street.

Upon arrival, police said they saw a man, in the fetal position, being beaten. Police entered the crowd and removed three people who they said was attacking the victim.

Additional officers then arrived and the group began to flee the area, including the victim.

Police said officers remained on scene to quell the situation, when a juvenile female, 15, allegedly began yelling obscenities at officers despite being told to stop.

She was transported to headquarters, charged with disorderly conduct, released to her mother.
