WILKES-BARRE — A Wilkes-Barre couple were both charged with assault following an incident at Sherman Hills on Saturday.

Police said they responded at about 8 p.m. to a domestic dispute, and upon their arrival observed scratched and lacerations to both parties: Tahnnashia Edwards, 25, and Rashaun Johnson, 28.

Police said Johnson alleged that Edwards had threatened him with a kitchen knife.

Edwards was charged with aggravated assault and Johnson was charged with simple assault.

Both were lodged at Luzerne County Correctional Facility.
