EAST UNION TWP. — A Hazleton man is facing stalking and other charges after he allegedly followed a woman to work at Humboldt Industrial Park and exposed himself to another woman there.

Pennsylvania State Police say a woman reported that Sucre Figuereo-Marinez, 24, had been continuously stalking her for the past several days.

Police say Figuereo-Marinez followed the victim to work at Brake Parts, located in the park at 62 Green Mountain Road, and he was asked to leave the property. He allegedly refused to leave the property and exposed his genitals to another female victim that was on the property.

Figuereo-Marinez allegedly fled on foot when troopers arrived and was captured a short distance away without incident, police said, adding that he was in possession of a box cutter when he was taken into custody.

The defendant was arraigned before District Judge James Reiley on charges of stalking, indecent exposure, open lewdness and defiant trespass, as well as an offensive weapons charge. Unable to post $20,000 bail, he was jailed at Schuylkill County Prison to await a preliminary hearing scheduled for 10 a.m. Aug. 3 before Reiley.
