WILKES-BARRE — The Wyoming Valley could see some showers and thunderstorms tonight and into Wednesday.

According to a hazardous weather outlook issued by the National Weather Service, scattered showers and thunderstorms will increase across the area tonight and into Wednesday. Localized heavy rainfall is possible and will persist throughout the day.

No watches or warnings have been issued for Luzerne County.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 61 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with fair skies reported.

Sunny skies are expected today, with a high near 87.

Mostly cloudy skies are expected tonight, along with a chance of showers and thunderstorms into the overnight hours. The low will be around 69.
