The Wyoming Valley could see some rain today and into tonight, but sunshine is expected for the weekend.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 69 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with fair skies reported.

Mostly cloudy skies are expected today, along with scattered showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of total rainfall is expected, and the high will be near 84.

Cloudy skies will carry over into tonight, along with scattered showers and thunderstorms before 7 p.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of total rainfall is expected, and the low will be around 70.

Partly sunny skies will round out the week on Friday, with a high near 88. Clear skies will follow into Friday night, with a low around 63.

Sunny skies are predicted for Saturday, with a high near 86. Mostly clear skies will carry over into Saturday night, with a low around 64.

Sunshine will round out the weekend on Sunday, with a high near 86. Partly cloudy skies are predicted for Sunday night, with a low around 64.
