Commuters on Interstate 81 could encounter some traffic due to a crash that happened earlier this morning.

PennDOT spokesman James May said a two-vehicle crashed happened on I-81 northbound near mile marker 165 shortly before 7 a.m. this morning.

May said the shoulder was still closed as crews cleared the crash, but as of 8:40 a.m., has been reopened.

The Times Leader’s traffic page indicates that there are areas of minor and heavy congestion in the area where the crash occurred.
