The Pennsylvania Turnpike advises motorists traveling northbound on the Northeastern Extension (Interstate 476) in Lehigh County of possible delays starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday through 6 a.m. on Wednesday. The delays will likely occur between Mahoning Valley, Exit #74, and Lehigh Valley, Exit #56, when 15-minute traffic paces are implemented.

During the paces, Turnpike maintenance and Pennsylvania State Police vehicles will restrict Turnpike traffic to a speed of 20-25 miles an hour. The paces are needed for workers to safely install bridge beams at milepost 68.5.

Motorists in the area should be prepared for slow-moving traffic and possible stoppages. Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions.
