WILKES-BARRE — A man is facing charges after allegedly robbing a man at gunpoint in September.

Paul Gulick, 39, of South Regent Street, is charged with robbery, recklessly endangering another person, terroristic threats and simple assault.

According to the criminal complaint, officers were dispatched to 610 Carey Ave. for a robbery complaint. Officers made contact with the victim, Joseph Thomas, who alleged he was robbed at gunpoint approximately an hour before police arrived.

Thomas told police he was talking with Gulick, a friend of his, on Waller Street. Gulick allegedly pulled out a handgun, pointed it at Thomas and demanded Thomas hand over his belongings.

Thomas also alleged Gulick threatened to shoot him if he did not comply.

Thomas told police Gulick took his cell phone and then physically checked his pockets before fleeing the scene.

Gulick was arraigned on his charges before Magisterial District Judge Rick Cronauer Tuesday, and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing at 10 a.m. Nov. 1 before Cronauer.

Gulick is free on $10,000 unsecured bail.
