DUNMORE — There will be short traffic stoppages on I-81 north and south bound tonight starting at 8 p.m. to tomorrow morning at 6 a.m. from Exit 178 (Avoca) to Exit 175 (Dupont). The work will take place at mile marker 176.9 for the removable of beams on the bridge over I-81.
The work is a joint contract with the Turnpike Commission to remove two bridges. The Wyoming Avenue Bridge over I-81 was built in 1962. Once removed, this bridge will not be replaced.
