WILKES-BARRE — Police are searching for a man who is accused of using a woman’s credit card at Turkey Hill after her purse and vehicle were stolen.

Police said that at 12:04 p.m. on Oct. 14, an employee at the Community Counseling Center on South Pennsylvania Avenue reported that while she was working, someone entered her office and stole her purse from inside a desk.

The woman’s keys to her vehicle were also inside the purse, and police said the woman’s 2007 H3 SUV was stolen from the parking lot of her place of work. Police said the vehicle was recovered a short time later with assistant of police in Edwardsville, but it was not made clear where the vehicle was found.

Subsequent investigation showed that a man used one of the woman’s credit cards at a Turkey Hill in Edwardsville, according to police. Police have provided a surveillance photo of the man.
