WILKES-BARRE — A man is facing disorderly conduct charges after he allegedly became belligerent inside Popeye’s demanding a discounted or free meal.

Officers were dispatched to the restaurant on Wilkes-Barre Township Boulevard at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a disturbance. Police allege Ronald Shivers, 57, of Kingston, entered the restaurant and began yelling at employees regarding a previous food order and demanded a free or discounted meal.

Once officers arrived, police allege Shivers continued his belligerent behavior, and he was taken into custody.
