WILKES-BARRE — A man is facing public intoxication charges after officers allegedly saw him fall from a motorized scooter.

Officers responded to the area of East Northampton Street and Park Avenue at 9:48 p.m. Saturday for a report of an intoxicated male.

Police allege William Temple, 53, of Wilkes-Barre, was intoxicated to the degree he was a danger to himself. Temple was also allegedly operating a motorized scooter, and police said he fell off the scooter and suffered an injury.

Temple was transported to a local medical facility by EMS for evaluation, according to police.
