WILKES-BARRE — Police said a suspect armed with a firearm robbed a man of cash Tuesday.

The victim came to police headquarters at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday to report the alleged robbery. Police said the victim was walking on the Pierce Street Bridge when a male approached, displayed a firearm, and ordered the victim to turn over his money.

The victim followed the suspect’s alleged demands, and the suspect then fled the area, according to police.

The police report did not indicate how much money the suspect allegedly stole. No further description of the suspect was provided.
