WILKES-BARRE — Police are investigating the attempted abduction of a juvenile female on Monday morning.

The juvenile reported to police at 6:57 a.m. Monday that a man grabbed her from behind in the area of Madison and Beaumont streets as she walked to the school bus stop.

Police said the juvenile was able to fight off the suspect, and the suspect then fled the area in a silver Honda SUV with dark tinted windows.

The suspect is described a black man that is 6 feet tall with a thin build. The man was last seen wearing a black hoodie, gloves, and a black ski mask.
