Police: Man armed with gun robbed Turkey Hill on Saturday

    WILKES-BARRE — Police are investigating an alleged armed robbery that took place at a Turkey Hill on Saturday.

    Police said officers responded to the store at Hazle and Nicholson streets for a report of a robbery at 10:56 p.m. A store employee told police a man entered the store, displayed a handgun, and robbed the store.

    Police described the suspect as a tall male wearing all black and was last seen carrying a white bag. The suspect also allegedly had his face covered, but police said the clerk believed him to be black.

    The suspect was last seen fleeing on foot.

    Police said no one was injured. The police report did not indicate what the suspect allegedly took from from the store.
