The PA Turnpike Commission has lifted the speed speed limit restriction and truck ban.

The 45-mph speed restriction on the entire Northeastern Extension was lifted at 6 a.m. today, according to a news release. As of that time, no more speed-limit or commercial-vehicle bans will remain on the PA Turnpike system.

PA Turnpike crews may continue to treat the roadway in some areas. Motorists are encouraged to keep alert for changing pavement and weather conditions.
