As the Wyoming Valley continues to clean the remnants of Winter Storm Stella, several municipalities continue to have snow bans and work on emergency snow removal.

Hazleton

The city will begin massive snow removal efforts, which begin at 6 a.m. Friday on Diamond Avenue and Broad Street.

Chief of Police Jerry Speziale asks residents to adhere to the snow ban and park on the proper side of the street during these efforts to enable quick removal of the snow.

Upon completion of the snow removal, the city will be requesting all residents to move their vehicles to the opposite side of the street for parking to enable crews to begin removing snow from the non-snow-ban side of the roadway.

Luzerne

The borough will be in a snow removal, no parking ban Friday.

All cars are to be removed from Miller Street from 7 a.m. until the block is cleared on both sides. Crews will then start work on Upper Miller Street and work their way down.
