WEST HAZLETON — Emergency crews worked Friday to prevent a roof collapse at a popular bowling center in the borough.
Luzerne County Fire Companies reported on its Facebook page that volunteers responded to Bowl Arena on Susquehanna Boulevard around 8 p.m. for a potential roof collapse.
WNEP reported that patrons were inside when they heard the building buckling and saw the ceiling began to bow.
Emergency workers were seen shoveling snow off the distressed roof.
