According to state Reps. Gerald Mullery, D-Newport Township, Eddie Day Pashinski, D-Wilkes-Barre, Tarah Toohil, R-Butler Township, and state Sen. John Yudichak, D-Plymouth Township, more than $5 million in gaming-revenue grants were announced Wednesday.

Here are the recipients, how much they got, and how they will use the money:

Ashley, $25,000, complete renovations to the new municipal office

Bear Creek Village, $200,000, repairs to infrastructure

Black Creek Township, $60,000, purchase of a new dump truck

Butler Township, $460,000, relocation of the public works garage and upgrades to the state Fraternal Order of Police outdoor grove.

Dorrance Township, $79,000, park and playground upgrades

Edwardsville, $100,000, street paving and repairs for 13 streets

Fairview Township, $30,000, new police cruiser

Hanover Township, $990,000, Phase III of facility upgrades; a new press line for Medico Industries Inc., which will expand capabilities and capacity and create 10 new jobs; public works equipment, including a milling machine, a skid steer and a tandem dump truck for the Lower South Valley Council of Governments

Hazle Township, $273,825, a new vehicle for the Hazleton Blind Association to transport clients; work by the Greater Hazleton Joint Sewer Authority to separate storm and sanitary sewer lines

Hazleton, $544,415, streetscape improvements for six blocks of North Wyoming Street; streetscape Phase I project on Alter Street; preservation of City Hall

Hughestown, $100,000, relocation of sewer lines along Rock Street

Hunlock Township, $326,165, upgrade and renovate the Northwest Area School District track

Larksville, $300,000, repaving of Greenwave Boulevard between East State and Church streets, as well as installation of 15 handicapped ramps

Luzerne County Redevelopment Authority, $104,385, restoration of the dome and rotunda at the Luzerne County Courthouse

Nanticoke, $478,198, revitalizing the south side of East Main Street

Nescopeck, $25,585, purchase of a security camera system

Nuangola, $39,500, renovations to the Nuangola Lake pavilion

Pittston, $150,000, purchase of two police vehicles, an emergency services vehicle and expansion of the public works garage

Plymouth, $150,000, stormwater management project for Beverly Drive and Smith Row

Plymouth Township, $26,775, backhoe purchase

Pringle, $40,000, purchase a building for Swoyersville Ambulance Service to help reduce monthly expenses

Rice Township, $33,939, Ice Lakes dam retrofit project

Shickshinny, $143,000, renovation of buildings at 13-17 N. Main St.

Sugarloaf, $520,000, completion of the Old Berwick Road project

Swoyersville, $50,000, upgrades to the police department parking lot

West Hazleton, $183,725, reconstructing Fawn Drive

West Pittston, $50,000, project for the Department of Public Works

Wilkes-Barre, $1.56 million, acquisition of the former Hotel Sterling property on River Street for construction of new corporate headquarters for the Berkshire Hathaway Guard Insurance Companies; repair or replace portions of the retaining wall along Solomon Creek; help for the Wilkes-Barre YMCA to renovate its pool, wellness center and improve accessibility to the building

Wright Township, $140,000, paving Walden Park

Wyoming, $520,000, stormwater and sewer replacement along Wyoming Avenue and renovations to VFW Post 396

Yatesville, $47,000, purchase of a skid steer loader for snow removal
