Woman accused of Walmart thefts

WILKES-BARRE TWP. — Police arrested Rachel Wydeen at the Wilkes-Barre Township Walmart after she was caught allegedly trying to steal $248 in DVDs.

Wydeem, 25, of Scranton, was also found in possession of an empty heroin packet when police took her into custody at 3:40 p.m. April 7, authorities report.

She was charged with retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was taken to Luzerne County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 bail after an arraignment before District Judge Joseph Halesey.

Troopers seeking Glen Lyon resident

WYOMING — State police are looking for a man from the Glen Lyon section of Newport Township.

Brian Richard Harrison, 41, was stopped by troopers on Route 11, south of the West Nanticoke bridge in Plymouth Township, at 11:08 a.m. Monday, a press release says.

Harrison wrongly identified himself to the officer then fled in his vehicle, authorities report.

He is wanted for fleeing and eluding police.
