Aside from a slight chance of rain, sunshine is expected in the Wyoming Valley this weekend.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 72 degrees as of 5:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and fair skies were reported.

Mostly sunny skies are expected today, along with a slight chance of showers between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. The high will be near 82.

Partly cloudy skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 49.

Saturday will bring mostly sunny skies, with a high near 72. Mostly cloudy skies are predicted for Saturday night, with a low around 50.

Mostly cloudy skies will round out the weekend on Sunday, along with a slight chance of showers after 2 p.m. The high will be near 70.

A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms is possible before 8 p.m. Sunday, followed by showers likely after 8 p.m. The low will be around 56.
