OLD FORGE — The body of a man found in the Lackawanna River in Old Forge Friday has been identified as a missing Duryea man.

Duryea Police confirmed that the body belonged to Brian Wychoskie, according to Fox 56.

Wychoskie was last seen at an Old Forge gas station on Sept. 11.

Wychoskie’s death was ruled an accidental drowning by the Lackawanna County coroner.

The body was found by investigators at around 2:30 p.m. Friday, who determined that the body had been there for several days.

Wychoskie’s body was found approximately 150 yards south of South Main Street.
