Billy Morrell made 14 kills, 10 digs and blocked a shot as North Pocono snapped Holy Redeemer’s 71-match winning streak in the Wyoming Valley Conference with a 3-0 victory over the Royals at Holy Redeemer’s gym.

Brendan Leahigh and Mike Prociak both made 12 kills for Holy Redeemer, but they couldn’t prevent the Royals’ first league loss in five seasons.

Eric Kramer had 21 digs and Eric McLain added 12 digs while helping North Pocono to victory, while Justin Butler served up 12 points - including two aces - and finished with 33 assists.

Jeremy Myslowski had 10 kills, 22 assists and five blocks for Holy Redeemer, and Mike Morrison made nine kills and blocked six shots in defeat.

Michael Murphy and Zack Bevan each served up 11 points as the Black Knights fought for a tight victory over the Spartans.

Joe Wojchik added 29 assists in the victory, while Bevan made 18 digs.

Mark Burridge had 16 kills for Valley West, Chris Spellman had 12 kills and 16 digs and John Butchko recorded 33 assists while serving up 12 points.

Mettson topped Dallas with nine kills and added two blocks, while Matt Diaco played a good all-around match in the victory.

Luke Cruzer finished with six kills for the Tigers, while his teammate Adam Billings had four assists.

Haley Dumont scored three goals for the Crusaders in a home loss to the Warriors.

Caitlin Wood, Kaitlyn Lukashewski and Kelsey Gabriele all scored twice while Brigid Wood added one goal. Paige Tedik made 16 saves in net.

Erin Corry led Delaware Valley with seven goals.

Wyoming Seminary 14, Pittston Area 2

Jackie Meuser, Ceci Norris, Corrinne Lonyngham and Kelley Gaun all scored three goals to pace the Blue Knights.

Bianca Matto-Miller and Haley Norwillo scored for Pittston Area, while Nicole Walters made six saves in defeat.


Misericordia sweeps pair

Misericordia won at Albright, 3-1 and 12-3.

In the opener, Jenn Cory had two hits and two RBI, and Whitney Ellenberg and Sam Hare added two hits. Jess Armillay scattered seven hits for the win.

In the nightcap, Diana Kestenbaum had three hits and Caitlin Cromley and Andi Veneziale had two hits and two RBI.


Wilkes 19, Maritime 7

Four players had at least two goals as Wilkes won at home.

Gabby Ford scored five goals, leaving her five points shy of the all-time Wilkes mark. Madeleine Brownsey and Tori Kerr each laced four goals and dished three assists.


Misericordia 2nd at home

Misericordia was second (306) to FDU-Florham (304) at Mountain Laurel.

Matt Wiater and Jordan Wollenberg shot 76 each to finish tied for sixth to pace the Cougars. MU’s Adam DePorter and Jeff Slanovec were tied for ninth at 77.

Connor Clair paced Wilkes (8th, 373) with a 19-over-par 91, good for 34th.


Rice paces Cougars to win

Alexe Rice led host Misericordia to the team title at Mountain Laurel Golf Club. Rice finished third with a 93 while Lauren Clemson was fourth with a 95.
