Liz Waleski hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give Pittston Area a 49-46 victory over Lake-Lehman on Monday in high school girls basketball. Waleski finished with 12 points.

Jackie Rabender led the Patriots with 20 points.

Lake-Lehman was paced by Cayle Spencer’s 26 points.

Crestwood 62, Wyoming Area 33

The Comets’ Rebecca Rutkowski owned the paint with 19 points, eight rebounds and seven blocks. Maddie Ritsick had 18 points, and Maury Cronauer produced nine assists.

Nicole Turner went 9-of-10 from the free throw line for the Warriors.


Crestwood 72, Wyoming Area 33

The Comets outscored the Warriors 23-4 in the first quarter. Crestwood was led by Cole Wasco’s 13 points.

Luke Casey gave the Comets a 12-point effort. Chris Fazzini had 10 points.

Jeremy Zezza was the lone Warrior in double figures with 12.
